I’ve owned the Speedy and tried the Tudor on my wrist a few times. The Tudor is a more sporty . Apart from being significantly cheaper, has anyone had any experience of this . The latest iteration Tudor chrono with the panda/reverse-panda harkens back to timeless Heuer and Breitling Top Time double-register racing chronos imho. They’re similar in thickness. Although the newest Speedmaster is +/-1mm thinner at 13.5mm, than the newest iteration Tudor Chrono at 14.2mm.I’ve owned the Speedy and tried the Tudor on my wrist a few times. The Tudor is a more sporty watch, while the Speedy is more versatile; it’s also more comfortable to wear and looks better, IMO. However, if you go for the Speedy, I would recommend the sapphire.
Apart from being significantly cheaper, has anyone had any experience of this Tudor chrono or offer any advice either way. Appreciate its very new but it does look great, the movement sounds good and has 200m water resistant with the screw down pushers. The Tudor Chrono is a very thick watch and even with them shaving a few hundred microns off the thickness in this latest edition, it still looks very thick from the sides. Unlike the Tudor, the Speedmaster has a cultured sides and angles that break up the heft of the watch. I don’t regret selling my calibre 1861 Speedmaster – the predecessor to the current model, purchased new on a black leather strap in 2019 – and replacing it with a Tudor Black Bay 58, navy.

I would just like to address the difference between the ubiquity of the Tudor Black Bay and that of the Omega Speedmaster. I would first point out that the Omega Speedmaster, while ubiquitous and available in many different models, still retains the original Moonwatch as the core of the collection. At 41mm, the Black Bay is the smallest of the three. The chronograph has screw-down pushers to improve water resistance. These give the Black Bay Chronograph the best waterproof rating of the three with no less than 200 meters of water resistance.
