He was born in the Russian Empire to Baltic German and American parents and spent his working life in France, England and the United States.With Glamour & Style, JAEGER ART presents photographs of renowned personalities from the 1920s to the 1960s by pioneering photographer George Hoyningen-Huene (1900–1968). He was one of the era’s most innovative photographers, known for his exceptional ability to blend art, fashion, and film.
In 1935, Hoyningen-Huene left Condé Nast and was invited to Hollywood by film director George Cukor to photograph many of the twentieth century’s great movie stars and collaborate as a color consultant on several of Cukor’s films.
