7.00Gucci Nobile by Gucci is a Aromatic Fougere fragrance for men. Gucci Nobile was launched in 1988. Top notes are Bergamot, Lavender, Rosemary, Tarragon, Nutmeg Flower and Lemon; middle notes are Balsam Fir, Green Notes, Jasmine, Geranium, Rose, Cyclamen and Carnation; base notes are Oakmoss, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Patchouli, Cedar, Musk, Amber and .
From dashing and daring to discerning and distinguished, these 6 best Givenchy colognes are unforgettable fragrances for the Renaissance man. Gucci Nobile is one of the best green aromatic fougeres I've ever tried. I dare say I would choose it if I could have only one member of this genre. But Is it that good? Well, the answer is related to how much you like 80's green aromatic fougeres. If you're a fanatic for them, the answer is YES. Many 70's and 80's aromatic fougeres are somewhat similar (or at least something that the lovers of the great Nobile might enjoy). Vintage version of Givenchy Xeryus, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Lauder For Men, Azzaro Pour Homme or . Gucci Nobile is a prime example of a discontinued cologne becoming a cult object, right up there with the original M7 by YSL (one of Tom Ford’s most influential early efforts) and the beautiful Krizia Moods Uomo.
I had Gucci Nobile as a gift from a good friend on Fragrantica and what a surprise! It's rapidly becoming one of my favourite non-powerhouse fragrances from the past together with Insensè, Givenchy's Vetiver and Le Troisieme Homme.
Gucci Nobile. If you are a fan of vintage Polo Green, you will really dig Nobile by Gucci. The dry mossy / patchouli accord is very smooth, masculine and mature. Overall, the scent is fairly "quiet" compared to other aromatic fougere's from the 80's as the blend is exceptional.
Nobile is a familiar soapy green scent that opens with citrus (bergamot and lemon) a medley of herbal notes, and a base of lots of oakmoss and vetiver and a lovely sandalwood/musk/tobacco dry-down. There are some light floral accords - jasmine, rose, carnation - that I can somewhat pick apart in the mid notes. The textural components of the fragrance are executed impressively and with beauty in mind, crisp and brittle up top, highly appropriate in evocation of dehydrated plant fibres, but with a waxy, pliable quality from elemi that is warm, balsamic, and tacky. Farfetch is currently having a nice sale with lots of lovely Givenchy on the list. The Nobile caught my eye but I was unable to find anything in the Forum.
