Their quality is so dismal. I wouldn't say that Gucci is using dramatically higher quality materials than AE because AE has produced two lines of footwear above their mainline offerings that are quite good, their independence collection which used higher grade calfskins and their cordovan collection which uses what is thought of as the best cordovan in the world in Horween.
