However, I've read on tPF that a few members have done phone orders with Sak's (in other states) and were not charged tax on their purchase but were charged for shipping. Might be good to call a Sak's outside of CA that has an LV boutique to see if they will still not charge tax when shipping the item.

I don't recall ever seeing the LV logo cut in half but certainly have seen tips of the letters missing on authentic pieces.
